Galfar Al Misnad’s Central Planning department plays a crucial role in maintaining the organisation’s competitive advantage in the market. The planning function is the strategic driver of organizational excellence. This is done by:

  • Employing project management practices to continuously improve organizational efficiency.
  • Implementing and managing governance processes by developing high value strategic tasks for the organization; starting from business strategy, right down to departmental portfolios, programs, and projects.
  • Engaging an exclusive team of specialized personnel to execute all planning requirements.
  • Staying up to date with the latest practices in planning; and equipped with the newest software and technologies.
  • Being an instrumental support in aligning the supply chain for effective execution, thereby efficiently improving working capital management.
  • Supporting resource management at the corporate level; by maintaining a database on resource projections, which is summarized at project level up to corporate.

The Purchase Department co-ordinates the entire supply chain management of all the resources required for the optimal functioning of the company’s diverse business operations. We diligently monitor our database to enable the continuous upgradation of our resources, to ensure that our customers get the best value from our products.

Vendors and Subcontractors
We base our vendor selection on a comprehensive set of criteria that includes product quality and reliability, after-sale service, safety, delivery reliability, and cost effectiveness. In line with our commitment towards upholding sustainable development, we particularly support vendors who promote environment friendly resources and practices. Likewise, customer preferred vendors are given priority.

We develop solid relationships of trust with our vendors, within and outside Qatar, through continual communication and equitable purchasing practices, to sustain mutual growth and benefits.

IT Achievements:

  • Galfar Al Misnad is the first company in the ‘Engineering and Construction’ vertical in Qatar to have implemented SAP. The successful implementation of SAP has led to SAP choosing Galfar in Qatar as its Reference customer.
  • With security and complementary web-based applications in place, Galfar has a robust and scalable Enterprise Architecture to cater to current and future demands.

With an in-house fleet and equipment strength of 1672 units, our Plant department enables the safe, reliable, and cost efficient implementation of Galfar Al Misnad’s vast business operations in Qatar.

Our fleet of vehicles and equipment consists of only renowned brands, such as Toyota, Mitsubishi, Mercedes Benz, Nissan, Hino, Renault, Caterpillar, Komatsu, JCB, Schwing, etc. Likewise, as a policy, we only use genuine spares, including well reputed brands of tyres like Michelin, Bridgestone, etc., for the maintenance and repair of our entire fleet.

OUR FLEET

We run a full-fledged maintenance facility in addition to three project-based maintenance facilities, and 10 service trucks for the maintenance needs of our vehicles and equipment deployed at our various projects across the country.

The department is duly managed and maintained by a dedicated and experienced team of equipment engineers and technicians who assure that a minimum 90% of equipment availability is upheld at all times.

FINANCE

Our robust Finance team judiciously manages the company’s financial resources, ensuring stability even through challenging market situations. This has played a crucial role in the establishment of Galfar Al Misnad as a trustworthy business partner in all the major development sectors in Qatar.

ADMINISTRATION

Our Administration team diligently manages the day to day operations of our camps, accommodations, clinics, and kitchens to ensure the highest standards of living available for all our employees, in compliance with Qatar’s Labour Law.

Galfar Clinic

The Galfar Clinic caters to the company’s 5000+ strong workforce. Male nurses are stationed in satellite clinics in camps and sites. The Clinic personnel regularly conduct periodic health check-ups of all employees in addition to providing medical care.

We provide all our employees residing in our camps and bachelors’ accommodation with nutritious and healthy meals throughout the day.
